Rich Kids University

The racial learning gap is not a gap in ability. It is a gap in information and exposure. Some children grow up learning who they are through history, finding their voice through speech and debate, and hearing how money and business work at the dinner table. Others never get any of it, not because they cannot learn it, but because no one around them was taught to teach it. Schools rarely fill that gap. Rich Kids University does, by putting that knowledge directly and personally in front of children who were never given the chance to hear it.

Rich Kids University started as a face to face program, working with a limited number of students at a time. Moving to a digital platform let RKU grow from serving 200 students in person to reaching 2,000 students in its beta program, without losing the personal, direct instruction the program was built on.

Nicole Stewart has spent over 15 years in K-12 education, first as a classroom teacher, then building curriculum, then leading nonprofit organizations. She founded the National Association of Black Microschool Leaders to train and certify microschool founders building community rooted schools. She founded Legacy Prep Microschool as a proof of concept in Gainesville, Florida. She founded Rich Kids University because she watched, year after year, which of her students already knew how money worked and which ones never got the chance to learn.
